In the academic year 2019-2020, The Kościuszko Chair of Polish Studies focused on commemorating two meaningful anniversaries in the history of Poland, namely, the 80th anniversary of the German aggression on Poland in September 1939 followed by the Soviet attack on September 17, 1939, and the 80th anniversary of the mass deportations of Poles to Siberia and the subsequent Katyń Forest Massacre.
